BASEBALL TRY-OUTS (AGES 8-12) THIS SATURDAY, JANUARY 28
Dear CLL Families: Thanks for your patience, just a reminder that baseball tryouts for players 8-12 are now THIS SATURDAY, January 28 from 9-4 at YVE Major Field. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tryout time to register and warm-up.
If you can't make your scheduled time Saturday, please contact our baseball player agent- Kim Moraga (her e-mail address: kimmoraga@sbcglobal.net ) so that we can make alternative arrangements. We are also having a small group of try-outs on Friday afternoon (January 27) from 4:15 to 5:30 for players that can't make it Saturday.
For the few of you who have still not registered, you are just about out of time, but. . . REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN ON-LINE!!
Drafts should take place next week- practice will begin the week of February 6 and March 17 is Opening Day and Picture Day. Can't wait to see you all soon.

VOLUNTEER MANAGERS AND COACHES STILL NEEDED
Parents- over the last several weeks we have confirmed volunteer managers and coaches for MOST of the nearly 40 softball and baseball teams we will field as a league this year, but we still need help!!
In particular I am looking for 2 AA Managers (and coaches) and 2 Peanut Managers (and coaches). Help will be provided and coach training is already scheduled for Februray 4 and February 16 (with more sates to follow). Don't be shy . . .get out there and have some fun with your kids and help a great cause!! If you are interested, please contact me at ajc@llcllp.com Thanks in advance!!

CONTINENTAL UMPIRE SELECTED FOR WESTERN REGION TOURNAMENT
Former Continental Chief Umpire, Mr. Ed Newbegin, received notification that he has been selected to umpire in the Western Region Senior Girls Softball tournament . The tournament will be held in Montana, between late July and early August. This is a huge honor for both Ed and Continental. Ed continues to be an active Continental umpire and has over 20 years of umpiring experience. He will represent Continental and District 4 with dignity, professionalism and flare. Congratulations to Ed and Continental.
