Continental is committed to the training and education of managers and coaches, as we recognize the importance of a consistent approach to teaching the fundamentals of the game. We will be offering pre-season clinics, with these clinics stressing proper teaching techniques for managers and coaches at all levels.
Please note: All CLL managers and coaches are required to attend at least one of these clinics. Attendance will be tracked!

Continental Little League is continuing the Youth Umpire Program for the 2016 season! This program, introduced last year, will supplement the Adult Volunteer Umpire Program to ensure all Majors, AAA, and AA baseball games are outfitted with trained and qualified umpires. In order for the program to be successful, we need responsible youths who are interested in giving back to the community (while earning some extra cash!).
The Youth Umpire Flyer and the Youth Umpire FAQ has information about the program, most importantly the mandatory training clinic, which is scheduled for Sunday February 28th from 1pm - 5pm at Ygnacio Valley Elementary, Major Field.
If interested in becoming a Youth Umpire, please register at this link: Youth Umpire Registration. You must register before attending the clinic.
Please send this flyer along to any youths you think would be interested. Additional information is located on the Umpires page.
Thanks to all the parents, coaches, and volunteers for coming out this weekend to help with the Skills Evaluations. Although it was a bit cool, we got lucky and the rain stayed mostly away. It was great to see the kids back out on the field!
Thanks to all the Cobra parents who volunteered their time today to prepare the Ygnacio Valley Major field for Continental Skills Evaluation next weekend. This is a great way for the Cobra program to give back a bit to Continental. Great work everyone, as the field is looking real good! Keep in mind there is a field clean-up day scheduled for all families on February 27th.
There is a new leader for Continental Little League, as Steve Harris was elected as the new league president last month. Steve had served on the CLL Board of Directors for the previous two years, including his role as Vice President last year. Steve, who has also coached in the league for the previous five years, is a husband and father of two boys (Michael and David), both currently playing baseball in Continental. We are very excited to have Steve be the league’s front-runner, as his strong organizational and leadership skills will allow the league to continue to grow and be a vital element of our local community.
We also want to thank former league president Tony Calero for being an important part of Continental Little League for well over a decade. He has dedicated a great deal of his personal time to ensuring our league is run successfully year-after-year. The league thanks Tony for all his guidance and leadership he provided to the league.
