1. Minimum Play Rules
All players in all divisions will play a minimum of 3-innings per game (3 defensive innings in the field) and have at least one at bat. If the game is shortened for darkness and/or rain, any player who did not meet these requirements will be in the starting line-up of the next game and will play any previous requirement not completed, in addition to playing the previously stated minimum requirement (3 defensive innings in the field and at least one at bat) in the current game. Removal from the game for injury and/or because the player has to leave the game early to attend another function will not be considered an infraction of this rule.
Penalty: First infraction is the suspension of the manager for the next scheduled game. A second infraction of this rule will result in a forfeit of that game and the suspension of the manager for next scheduled game. The 3rd offense will result in the suspension of the manager for the remainder of season.
2. Pitch Count
A pre-designated volunteer will keep pitch count of each pitch the pitcher throws during live play (warm-up pitches are not counted.) The scorekeeper will keep a tally in the scorebook as a back-up. The volunteer will report the pitch count to the scorekeeper at each ½ inning. The scorekeeper will record the number in the scorebook. The scorekeeper will warn the umpire when 20 or fewer pitches are remaining for that pitcher. When the pitch count between the designated volunteer and the scorekeeper are different, the designated volunteers count WILL BE THE PROPER COUNT and will be non disputable. Managers will keep a Pitch Log of each pitcher which will be initialed by the field umpire and designated volunteer at the end of each game.
