2018 Registration To Open in Early November

Registration for the 2018 baseball and softball seasons will open up in early November


Cost

Below are the registration costs for the 2018 Continental regular season.  This cost includes your player's uniform (jersey, cap, and socks) 4 months of practices, 3 months of games, coaches, game umpires, and invaluable memories.  Continental does not charge a volunteer fee, but we do ask all families to contribute skills and time in order for the league to be successful.

Baseball

  • Peanuts / T-Ball (League Age 4-6)
    • $175 (register on or before 01/25/18)
  • Single-A, AA, AAA, Majors (League Age 7-14):
    • $200 Early Bird Special (register on or before 12/17/17)
    • $225 Standard Registration (register from 12/18/17 – 01/07/18)
    • $275 Late Registration (register between 01/07/18 – 01/17/18)
  • 50/70 and Juniors (League Age 13-14)
    • $225 Standard Registration (register from on or before 01/07/18)
    • $275 Late Registration (register between 01/07/18 – 01/17/18)

Softball

  • All Softball Divisions: TBD

If you a registering three or more players in your family, the registration cost will be set at a maximum of $500.

Refund Policy
Refunds of fees may be made upon the request of the player’s parent or guardian to the Board of Directors in writing. Requests submitted by e-mail to the Treasurer will be considered to be an acceptable method. Treasurer must contact the requester by phone or by responding with an email acknowledgement of the refund request within 48 hours of receiving the request.

Refunds will adhere to the following:

  1. A refund request received before the first Skills Evaluation Day (tryouts) will receive 100% refund, minus the online transaction fee.
  2. A refund request received after the first Skills Evaluation Day (tryouts), but before team formation will receive 75% refund, minus the online transaction fee.
  3. A refund request received after the team formation will not receive a refund, except for an injury or move that would cause a child to miss more than half of the season's scheduled games.  Fees refunded will be determined by our Board of Directors based on the timing of your request.
  4. All refunds must be approved by the Board of Directors. Appeals may be brought to the Board of Directors for consideration at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting and within 30 days of the decision, by contacting the League Secretary.

Division Overview

Each division of the league has specific ages associated with it.  The division that any player ends up playing in is based on age and or being drafted based on his or her abilities.  The following displays the different divisions and the criteria for players being placed there.

T-Ball

  • T-Ball/Peanut: 4-6 year olds, age based

Baseball

  • A: 6-8 year olds, age based and experience based
  • AA: 8-10 year olds, drafted based on ability
  • AAA: 9-11 year olds, drafted based on ability
  • Majors: 12 year olds; 10-11 year olds, drafted based on ability
  • Intermediate (50/70): 13 year olds
  • Juniors: 14 year olds

Softball

  • A: 6-8 year olds
  • AA (mini-minors): 8-10 year olds
  • Minors: 10-12 year olds, drafted based on ability
  • Majors: 11-12 year olds, drafted based on ability
  • Seniors: 13-16 year olds

Player Eligibility

Player eligibility is based on two factors:

  1. Player's residency or school enrollment, based on the geographic boundaries that encompass our league; and
  2. Player's league age. 

Below is information for you to be able to determine if your son or daughter is eligible to play in Continental Little League.

Resident or School Eligibility

For a player to be eligible, they must either:

  1. Reside within the physical boundaries of our league; or
  2. Attend a school within the physical boundaries of our league.  

If you are either (1) new to the league or (2) moved within the past year, you will be required to show proof of residence or school attendance within the CLL boundaries in order to be eligible to play in our league. 

The following are acceptable verification documents (also see official Little League Eligibility document):

Residence: One document from EACH of the three groups outlined below, dated between 2/1/17 and 2/1/18:

  • Group I
    • Driver’s License (photo ID of parent(s) or guardian(s) with qualifying residence address)
    • School records (home address of player’s parents or guardians)
    • Vehicle records (i.e., registration, lease, etc.)
    • Employment records
    • Insurance documents (with residence address)
  • Group II
    • Welfare/child care records 
    • Federal records (i.e., Federal Tax, Social Security, etc.) 
    • State records 
    • Local (municipal) records 
    • Support payment records
    • Homeowner or tenant records 
    • Military records
  • Group III
    • Voter’s Registration 
    • Utility bills (i.e., - gas, electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)
    • Financial records (loan, credit, investments, etc.)
    • Medical records 
    • Internet, cable, or satellite television records

School: Any one of the following documents:

The residence or school address on these documents must lie within the boundaries depicted on the map below in order for your player to be eligible to play in Continental Little League.

Softball Note:  For the past few years, Continental and Walnut Creek Little Leagues have combined to provide a girls softball league within the greater community.  This has been a mutually beneficial experience, as it allows for a bigger pool of players than either league can produce on its own.  To maintain accurate administration on behalf of both leagues, players are asked to register within their respective Little League boundaries.

Baseball League Age

This table provides information on how to determine if your son or daughter is eligible to play baseball in Continental Little League based on their age for the 2018 season.   Children between league ages 4 and 14 are eligible to play baseball in CLL.

Softball League Age
